Our 5th grade students had a great day at Junior Achievement Biztown! They ran their businesses, earned a paycheck, and learned about personal finance. Thank you Mrs. Key for preparing our students for this fun and educational trip.

Shoutout to three of our Braves that competed in the Knights of Columbus free throw shoot out contest. Congratulations to Addisyn and Maverick for coming in first place in their divisions! Also, congratulations to Perla for coming in second in her division!

Our kindergarteners had the perfect day for a Zoo field trip! They got to explore all of wonders that the Zoo offers. The students did a scavenger hunt and then spent time yesterday reporting their findings from reading about the animals or talking to the zookeepers.

Yesterday we celebrated many of our students’ academic achievements. We are so proud of the achievements, growth, and perseverance our students show. Way to go, Braves! 💙💛

Junior Kindergarten has had a week full of learning and experiences! They were curious why Father Scott’s chasuble changes colors. They learned about the different feasts and seasons. Mrs. Williams came in and talked about feelings with them. The week ended with a visit from the book mobile!

8th grade wrote books about Isaac Newton. They took their completed books and read to the younger grades. This is one of the huge benefits of having so many grade levels in one school!

👀Check out the new cafeteria setup! We love our new tables and chairs. This has given us so much more room to move around the tables to reach each student. It is also giving students an opportunity to talk to more peers at lunch.

We couldn’t let the day go without saying thank you to our favorite school resource officer! We love that Officer Fisher takes such a vested interest in Saint Edward. From hanging out on field day, eating square pizza in the cafeteria, teaching the students about safety, and teaching DARE; we are so thankful to Officer Fisher!

As National School Counseling Week comes to an end, we want to shout out our amazing counselor, Mrs. Williams. We are so lucky to have Mrs. Williams at Saint Edward. She always puts the students first and is a ray of sunshine throughout the day. Please help us thank Mrs. Williams for all she does for Saint Edward!

Mrs. Miller’s class has been studying arctic animals. They researched, dressed up, and presented the information to 1N. We love how in depth they got and how they worked on presenting skills. 1N also formulated questions for the students about the specific animals.

Today was so fun celebrating our students! We did Brave Buddy Bingo today. The students got to spend time with their buddies and play bingo. They loved picking out prizes. The whole school ended the day with a popsicle surprise!

Yesterday our students dressed their best and today we celebrated our school with Saint Edward spirit wear! Happy Catholic Schools Week!

Today’s theme for Catholic Schools Week was “Our Students Rock!” We loved seeing all of our faculty and staff dressed in their favorite singer, musician, or band shirts.

Today some of our student representatives joined Mrs. Williams and Ms. Clark at the all school Mass at St. Agnes. This is Mass is celebrated yearly in celebration of Catholic Schools Week.

We love celebrating during Catholic Schools Week! Today we are celebrating our Catholic schools. We are also celebrating our students being 100 days smarter (wearing 100 things on their shirts or dressing like 100 year old people).

Students in Ms. G’s STEM class recently built robots using their VEX Robotics kits. After building the robots, students were able to compete against each other in a game of robot soccer. They had to use their controllers to operate their robots and move a cube to the goal.
Check out our Open House on January 30th from 5-7 to learn more about the awesome things our students are learning in our classrooms.
