Eighth Grade

In the Language Arts classroom, students will take full ownership of their learning in a full participation classroom with arts-based literacy being at the core of how students connect to content and express their knowledge and understanding of: grammar, writing, vocabulary, and literature.

U.S. History class spans the time from Civil War Reconstruction through the present day.  Students will be exposed to some of the most pivotal events, not only in U.S. History, but in world history as well.  This year’s class will include a precise examination of World War I, World War II, the assassination of John F. Kennedy, the Vietnam War and a special perspective on how television and music changed America in the 1960s and 1970s.  This class will be a special experience for eighth grade students.
